Bill Submission

Yes, the bill submission date passed on January 15.  However, it has come to our attention that between class cancellations due to weather, my own error, and the stress of preparing for last week's tournament, some newer students have not had a chance to submit bills. The bill deadline came at a very awkward time for most families, and we do want everyone to have a chance to submit something if at all possible. Please accept my apologies for any confusion in regard to the previous submission deadline.  It did not look like we were going to get many bills at all which is what prompted me to send the email regarding acceptance of bills submitted before the deadline.  Being the obedient young people you are, you promptly flooded Mrs. Rentschler's inbox with bills of all shapes and sizes.  We now have more than we can use and will need to send them to the selection committee anyway.  If you have already submitted legislation, you are set.  You don't need to do anything else unless we contact you.

If you have not had a chance to submit a bill yet, you may do so until NOON ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4! Please note that WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM AFTER THIS TIME...PERIOD...END OF STORY...NO EXCEPTIONS. Please scroll down to see an example of the bill and resolution format (but not until you read the rest of this email :-* .  Bills need to be submitted in this format to Mrs. Rentschler at 7arrows@controlreps.com.  Please include your name in subject line of your email. 

Criteria for Selection

Please consider the following guidelines when deciding what legislation is appropriate for submission:

1.    Appropriate Content  - Bills in which research does not lead into inappropriate moral content or force the other side to have to argue in favor of inappropriate moral content.
2.    Debatability
