Ambassador Speech & Debate Club has its roots in Speech & Debate Workshops held in the fall of 2006 in the home of Eric and Cynthia Griffin. The Club was birthed in Spring of 2007 from this training with both a Club for Senior Division students ages 12-graduation and the largest Junior Division Club, for ages 8-12, in the state.

The Ambassador Club reaches out to serve families in the southern part of Middle Tennessee, specifically Brentwood, Franklin, Thompson’s Station, Leiper’s Fork, Bellevue and as far south as Columbia.   We meet every other week on Wednesdays beginning with our first meeting in late August, with only one meeting this month.  In September, we start our regular schedule of meeting every other week throughout the school year.

Our meetings for the Senior Division are broken up into four different time slots.  Worldview Apologetics, Student Congress, Lincoln Douglas Debate and Speech events are covered at each meeting with a primary focus on Worldview Apologetics and slightly different emphases each week on the three other events.  Students will have the opportunity to work individually and as a team.

The goal of Ambassador Club is to teach each student to communicate effectively in a variety of settings with the ultimate goal of training them to, confidently, wisely & lovingly, share their faith with the world.

II Cor. 5: 17 – 21 is the passage we draw from for our Club with the focus on verse 20: Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
